Trainee of Junior Civil Engineer

Tasks and duties

• Preparing conceptual and formal design drawings using CAD programs or other engineering software for review by engineers.
• Interpreting civil engineering drawings and building plans.
• Preparing designs for land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer and water systems.
• Ensuring designs take into account associated planning, survey, traffic,electrical and landscaping requirements.
• Read maps and land surveys to note land grading, nearby structures and other factors that could affect the placement of new installations.
